	UPQHA Youth Team The NYATT competition has been moved to Sunday Oct. 17, 2010 from its original date of Monday Oct. 18th. 2010 Youth Team Officers President - Jack Bruns Vice President – Nicole Kuklinski Secretary - Melanie Louys Treasurer – Josie Miller Advisor - Zoe Miller 2010 Youth Team Congress Representatives Nicole Kuklinski – Hunter Under Saddle and Showmansh Josie Miller - Showmanship Olivia Prinsen – Western Pleasure Sophia Hoskins – Hunter Under Saddle Ishaia Lustila – Barrel Racing Download Mandatory Youth Team Letter of Intent Here 2010 Year End News 3 returning team members and 2 new members competed for the 8 spots on the team and held many fundraisers for their trip to the 42nd All American Quarter Horse Congress in October. Team members were required to attend meetings, help with fund raisers, and get sponsorship money to be eligible to earn a spot on the team. All the team members performed well in their classes and enjoyed the team ceremony. Nicole Kuklinski made the finals in the 12-14 Hunter Under Saddle.    The Youth team kicked off its fundraising with a silent auction at the UPQHA Banquet, and they raised over $900 selling a variety of items. At each show team members held fund raisers like training classes, bean bag toss tournaments, parent/groom showmanship, egg and spoon, dog showmanship classes, bake sales, and 50/50 card raffles. They also hosted an exhibitor party at the UP Gold Quarter Horse Shows and the Summerfest Shows where they grilled brats and burgers and pot-lucked the rest of the meal for a large crowd, and they helped work at the UPQHA Fall Show, Marshfield Shows & Summerfest Shows. Money fund-raised helped in buying the team’s outfits for the NYATT Ceremony, team members stalls and entry fees for the Congress, and money to help members hauling and lodging costs at the show. The UPQHYA members wish to thank everyone who gave sponsorships and participated in fund-raisers at the shows.
